Riots in Peru: Hundreds of tourists stranded at Machu Picchu

Around 800 foreign tourists are stuck at Machu Picchu . The railway line to the world-famous ruined city of the Incas was closed for safety reasons. Due to ongoing unrest, the government has declared a nationwide state of emergency. Hundreds of foreign tourists are stuck at the world-famous Inca site Machu Picchu because of the unrest in Peru. Around 800 tourists were affected, the authorities said on Wednesday (local time).
